Miss Macpherson

Hello,
I should like to introduce myself to you all.  My name is Miss Macpherson and will be your Progress leader for your time in Year 7 and will be looking after you all when you join us in September.
Starting at Ormiston Maritime Academy is an exciting time for you all, but I understand that it can also be a daunting time.  I shall be there for you from day one to help you all settle in and feel part of the ‘Ormiston family’.
I cannot wait to meet you all and I’m looking forward to supporting you through this important step. When at Ormiston I will expect you to always try your best and maintain exceptional behavior in and around the Academy.
At Ormiston Maritime Academy, there are lots of exciting opportunities for you and I look forward to seeing you all get involved in our school community.

Hello, I’m Mr. Marsden – I’m the art teacher here at Ormiston and I’m looking forward to meeting you all and helping you settle into secondary school

Hi my name Mrs Stainton, I will be your personal tutor during your time in year 7 Ormiston. I have worked at Ormiston for 13 years, I teach PE and my favourite sports are Hockey, Netball and Rounders . Hope you have a great summer and I am very much looking forward to meeting you all and getting to know you.

Miss Drewett

Hello and welcome to Year 7.
My name is Mrs. Drewett. I am a Science teacher here in the academy and Year 7 tutor.
This is an exciting time for you all, although I also understand that this transition can also be a little scary. But please always feel that if there are any worries, concerns or even something positive that you would like to share, then my door is always open.
I am extremely happy that we will be on this journey through secondary school together and being a part of you all reaching your full potential. I want to motivate, inspire, and encourage students to be their very best and create an environment that is inclusive, safe and fun.

Hello, my name is Miss Bannister and I am incredibly excited to be a Year 7 tutor. I have worked at Ormiston Maritime Academy for two years and I teach Mathematics. Outside of school, I enjoy exercising and geometric art.

Miss Prendergast

I was born in Yorkshire and moved to Lincolnshire 6 years ago, a lot of students comment on my different accent. I am a Spanish teacher and used to live in Madrid. I have two young children of my own, Jesse and Lyla. I’m really excited to meet you all and look forward to a great first year for you at OMA.
