From an early age, all I ever wanted to do was teach. I grew up in Greater Manchester and spent most of my childhood surrounded by teachers (most of my family are in the teaching profession). Whilst at secondary school I was inspired by my German teacher to pursue my love of languages at college. I studied French, German and Russian at college and then went onto Bangor University to study French and German. Following university I moved to the Surrey, where I took up my first teaching post. After 4 years I went onto become the Head of Languages in a Language College in Surrey. Following the birth of my first child, I then moved closer to home and got a job as the Head of MFL in secondary school in Hampshire. In 2012, my 3 children  and I moved to Lincolnshire, and it was at this point that I started my career at Ormiston as Head of MFL. After 3 years, I was appointed as Assistant Principal and then at a later stage I was appointed as Vice Principal .For the past four years I have worked closely with the pastoral team , supporting students in improving their behavior and attendance. In addition to this I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the Academy and so keeping our students happy and safe is my top priority. Moving forward I am looking forward to spending more time in and around classrooms, looking at improving the quality of teaching and learning for our students. I honestly consider myself to have the best job in the world and I feel very privileged to work with our wonderful students.
